The Strings of Sisterhood Series
This series follows the lives of five musical sisters and their friends. It is a coming-of-age series in which the characters enjoy making music together, traveling, and solving mysteries. The young adults discover the joys of love and family, both inherited–as with the five sisters–and found–like the brotherhood the male characters form with each other along the way.
This series aligns with the author’s goals to:
Inspire the next generation of musicians
Encourage music professionals
Educate others about the world of music
Intended Audience: Readers who enjoy clean romance and mystery, especially those interested in music and travel.
Although intended for a young adult audience, several older, familial characters play mentorship roles, which appeal to an older demographic of readers as well.
The Strings of Sisterhood
Book 1: In A Change in Tune, readers meet the Pearson sisters and several of the leading male characters, focusing on the relationship between the oldest two sisters as it pertains to their musical aspirations, as well as the budding romance between the oldest sister and a handsome member of their string quartet.
Book 2: In Sunflowers in Paris, the cast of characters receives the opportunity to move to France for a study abroad program. While there, they meet a dashing Frenchman who offers to help them investigate the centuries-old murder mystery of a famous French composer.
Book 3: In An Ocean Away, the third Pearson sister helps her lifelong family friend learn more about his unusual origin story, crossing an ocean to discover its importance on both a personal and historical level.
The Chronicles of Music Majors
Precursor to The Strings of Sisterhood, this series of short stories details the lives of students at Belton University, the music school where the Pearson sisters later attend.
